Tesco -Trinity Square Gateshead Collection update

we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us with our 2 day collection @ Gateshead Trinity Square Gateshead.

2 tons of food were kindly donated , this will feed around 150 people with 7 days worth of emergency food.  We received a fantastic £352.53 in cash donations over the 2 days…  such wonderful kind people of the community.

The donations consist of a mix of all the items we frequently need, such as tinned goods, toiletries, pet food and sweet treat.

A big high five to everyone involved.

We had some great conversation with our community about the Trussell Trust Guarantee Our Essentials Campaign, which we are part of.  The basic rate of Universal Credit should at least cover the cost of essentials like food, household bills and travel, but it is not currently set according to any objective assessment of what people need.    To join the campaign  click on the link below
